"They say people can change, but is that really true? If they decide they want to fly, will they grow wings? I don’t think so. You don’t change yourself. You change how you do things. You have to make your own way. You have to create a way to fly, even while you stay the same." Sora
Here it comes another virtual game world where our lives might depend on it …. NOT !
Story: No game No life takes place in a virtual (kind of) world where games seem to rule/decide your goal or ultimately your fate. We meet 2 characters(epic duo) who are transported into this world due to their incredible gaming talent in the real world in which a “God” let them know beforehand how “this” world is set by rules in which any affair /matter is decided ONLY by games. From that point, we could assume this is going to be another SAO or Log Horizon but fortunately this is not the case. This anime in fact, take it to another level, in which genuine strategies define your own capabilities and what’s more valuable , entertain the viewer and grab his/her attention 'TILL the fuckin’ end. This is exactly what the other shitty animes fail to accomplish and this is why I must confess the tactics and strategy involved in this series blew my mind. How this resembles a chess game on how objective and intelligent you need to be amazes me. (11+/10)
Art: Stunning visuals for a short-running anime. Starting from the background scenario to the characters silhouette. I’ve got to admit the pink/purple‘ish filter embedded in the series gave it a nice touch which is rare to see these days. (10/10)
Character: the dialogue involved in this series was splendid but part of this contribution is given not only to the writers but the whole seiyuu cast. Each character displays a unique voice and it’s easy to recognize their voices even when you are not even watching! That’s some serious shit if you ask me. It reminds me of the Tsubasa Chronicles cast =] (10/10)
Sound: the opening song was great, the ending song is downloading in my local archive disk as I write this. That should cover this section. (9/10)
Final Thoughts:
At first, I thought this anime was going to suck rainbow-balls due to the massive fan-service involved. Thankfully, the studio decided to keep on with the story and follow the right path. Thank you for f*ck’s sake, thank you!. As for me, I cannot wait for a fuckin’ sequel. This series was brilliantly done, at least for my taste, I NEED THIS!
P.S: I WATCH THIS FOR THE PLOT DESPITE MY LOLI PASSION101 !!!
Overall: 10+/10
